This will be accompanied by footage showcasing the vastness and beauty of Australia, the horses and the magical moments of ‘The People’s Cup’. Together with his band, including an eight-piece string section, Jon Stevens will sing the INXS anthem Never Tear Us Apart from The Club Stand at Flemington. To the backdrop of This is the Moment sung by Michael Cormick, the legendary Makybe Diva will parade in the Mounting Yard to celebrate the 15th anniversary of her history breaking third consecutive Melbourne Cup victory. She will be joined by owner, Tony Santic, and jockey, Glen Boss, where the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Melbourne Cup trophies will be on display. Makybe Diva’s daughter, Sublime Diva, will also be in the Mounting Yard. The VRC Chairman, Mrs Amanda Elliott, will make her way with the 2020 Lexus Melbourne Cup to the stage and place the iconic trophy on the Carbine plinth in readiness to be handed to the Winning Owner. The Introduction of Jockeys for the 2020 Lexus Melbourne Cup will then take place. Masked Singer winner and Neighbours star, Bonnie Anderson, will perform the Australian National Anthem live from Flemington
