9 HERITAGE AND CULTURE The heritage and culture of Australian racing is in our DNA. The VRC has always been here to celebrate and promote the best of Australia’s racing heritage. Through the Foundation, we can nowwork to bring a national focus to our current Heritage Centre and the history of racing. EQUINE HEALTH & WELLBEING The VRC is ethically bound to deliver optimal outcomes in equine health, care and welfare. The Foundation will enable us to act with purpose and integrity, and seek to safeguard the care and wellbeing of horses throughout their lives, as well as the people in our racing community and their families, helping to ensure they are mentally healthy and have the support they need to thrive. COMMUNITY & EDUCATION We’ve long been a member of the Australian community and recognise that our organisation can only ever be as strong and as healthy as the local, national and industry communities we work with and in. These relationships are all-important to our business and operations.
