Added in his view his mnt is better suited to racing over greater distances. A post-race vet exam found the gelding to have the thumps. Tnr was told a vet clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing or trialling again. 6 PHILIPSBURG (NZ) 14/08/2021 Kembla Grange Rdr std after trailing rnrs in early & mid stages, on home turn shifted to one-off position to follow improving rnr. Std from 400m to near 200m, was held up & at 200m shifted in to secure clear running. Std when placed under pressure mnt did not quicken sufficiently to take advantage of narrow run & as a consequence was obliged to steady at the 100m & over final 100m it finished the race off in a one paced fashion. Added, mnt today was more settled pre-race then first up & in his opinion, raced a little flat. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr adv was satisfied with post race condition. 7 AMICUS CURIAE 4/09/2021Royal Randwick Shortly after the start was bumped. From a wide barrier then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. 12 HAVEN 28/08/2021 Rosehill At Kembla Grange Began awkwardly and from a wide barrier then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. 18e JAC THE GREAT 3/08/2021Moruya A post-race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormality. Race 2 - 12:15PM DYSON HANDICAP (2400 METRES) 1 MANKAYAN (IRE) 28/08/2021 Rosehill At Kembla Grange On jumping shifted in and bumped & from the outside barrier then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Rdr stated his mnt settled back in the field, as had been expected, but from the 700m he was obliged to ride it along in order to commence a forward move. Added mnt took some time to respond to his riding, although once he was able to balance up, it finished off the race strongly and in his opinion it would derive benefit from more race experience within Australia. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. 3 SHUFFLE UP 21/08/2021 Royal Randwick When questioned re performance, rdr std mnt was able to obtain midfield position but from 800m was shuffled back in the field. Std soon after he placed mnt under pressure, but it did not respond to riding & failed to close off. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Co-tnr adv the gelding was disadvantaged by not following a rnr forward when it made a move mid-race & as a result, the gelding was set too big a task to be able to finish the race off as it is one paced. Co-tnr subsequently advised satisfaction with post-race condition and his intention to continue with its current preparation. 4 TORRENS 21/08/2021 Royal Randwick When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, tnr std that at the gelding’s last start at Kembla Grange on 14 August 2021, it was unsuited by the firm surface and today it was advantaged by being down in weight, by utilising the claim of rdr and the step up in distance to 2400m. 11 APACHE BELLE 29/08/2021 Wyong Began only fairly.
