1 From the CEO On behalf of the Chairman and Committee of the Tasmanian Racing Club, it’s my absolute pleasure to welcome you back to Ladbrokes Park Elwick for our 2026 Melbourne Cup Race Day Luncheon. This iconic event is a highlight on the Hobart social calendar, showcasing the absolute best of high fashion, superb Tasmanian food and wine, and the very finest thoroughbred racing that our Island state has to offer. We thank all our race sponsors for their continued support, particularly: Graham Family Funerals, Oceana Health & Fitness, Aviso TAS Insurance Brokers, Winning Edge Presentation, Dave Garnier, Kevin Sharkie and Ladbrokes - and strongly encourage our Members and guests to reciprocate this generous support. Today’s ever-popular signature TRC Fashions on the Field competition will occur during the luncheon, and I warmly encourage all interested starters – fillies, mares, colts, and stallions – to register with our team at the nominated desk. The TRC is delighted to again present the Melbourne Cup Race Day Luncheon, and we wish you all an enjoyable day. Happy punting! Brendan A Blomeley CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER 2026 Melbourne Cup Day
