Rdr reported the gelding was travelling well throughout, but after suffering severe interference and almost falling near the 600m, he desisted from pressuring it any further. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (3/5) in the nearside hind leg and to have sustained superficial lacerations to the offside stifle, hock and pastern. He said after positioning his mnt near the rail it did not feel comfortable in its action and for this reason he did not place it under full pressure at any stage.
