W FM 07/10/2024 Race 3 BLAKES MARINE HANDICAP 1600M Viktor Rider reported the gelding, which was racing first up with the top weight of 61 kilograms, travelled outside the lead throughout the early and middle stages. He said his mount responded to his riding fairly in the early part of the straight, but commenced to weaken over the final 200m. He added the gelding would derive fitness benefit from today’s first up run. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
