W FM 07/10/2024 Race 3 BLAKES MARINE HANDICAP 1600M Viktor Rider reported the gelding, which was racing first up with the top weight of 61 kilograms, travelled outside the lead throughout the early and middle stages. He said his mount responded to his riding fairly in the early part of the straight, but commenced to weaken over the final 200m. He added the gelding would derive fitness benefit from today’s first up run. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. He added after being shifted to the outside of runners in the home straight and placed under pressure, the gelding commenced to lay in and proved difficult to ride. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. KENS 26/03/2025 Campaldino (NZ) Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped. When overracing near the 900m, became very awkwardly placed inside heels and as a result was heavily restrained for some distance after passing the 800m. When endeavouring to shift out into clear running, became awkwardly placed close to heels near the 200m. RHIL 01/04/2025 Race 5 PIONEER SERVICES HANDICAP 1600M Almania (IRE) After being inclined to lay in in the early part of the home straight was inconvenienced passing the 50m when placed in restricted room. Rdr reported after settling outside the leader her mnt raced very keenly, and after entering the back straight she had to restrain heavily as she was aware the pace was solid, whereby she was eventually able to have it come back to sit off the leader. W FM 07/10/2024 Walking Painting (GB) Shortly after the start was bumped. KENS 30/10/2024 Sydney Bowler Rdr reported he was able to obtain a position with cover behind the leader whereby his mnt travelled well, however when the tempo increased from the 600m it immediately came under pressure, did not respond to his riding and was disappointing in the manner in which it closed the race off. A post-race vet exam of the gelding, which was eased down in the home straight, revealed it to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. As this was the first occasion, tnr rep was advised of the provisions of the Racing Australia Code of Practice under AR88B(2)(b). Vet clearance since received.KENS 26/03/2025 Dunedin When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider advised that his mount had no excuses today and did not respond to his riding in the straight. 16 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. 17 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue.
