4 Chairman’s Welcome CHAIRMAN’s WELCOME – GDSC RAMORNIE HANDICAP 2026 It is again my great pleasure to welcome the Board and Senior Management of the Grafton District Services Club (GDSC) along with their members and guests to the famous Ramornie Handicap Race Day. I am sure you will all have a wonderful day of thoroughbred racing and social activities. I sincerely thank the GDSC Board and Management for their continued support of this great community event. On Monday we had a terrific day at the Barrier Draw Luncheon. The support of our special guests is greatly appreciated and most entertaining, thank you guys and all the best of luck in the future. The GDSC also hosted the time-honoured Ramornie Calcutta on Tuesday night and will hold the Westlawn Finance Grafton Cup Calcutta tonight, (Wednesday). We invite everyone back to the GDSC to join in the fun. Prior to the Calcutta you may like to experience the award-winning restaurant for dinner or snacks. We hope you can come along. The Ramornie Handicap has again attracted a fantastic field of sprinters. I am sure it will be a great race as always. Thank you to all owners and trainers for your support of not only this race but for supporting the whole carnival, it is greatly appreciated. Today also features some strong support races with many of our long-term sponsors continuing their involvement.
