Near the 1000m had to be steadied to avoid heels. When qst, rdr std it was his intention to settle further forward with the option to lead. He added the filly travelled well throughout the event but failed to finish the race off as expected. He said the filly would take benefit from today’s race experience. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. 6 TEMPESTAS 12/02/2022 Newcastle Raced greenly in the home straight. 7 WHY DOUBT 13/02/2022 Nowra When qst, rdr std was instructed to obtain a pos with cover back in field & to keep mount relaxed. Said filly had previously had wind issues & was also told not to place mnt under pressure until straightening. Added after 600m, rnr which was racing in advance shifted out & mnt was somewhat disadvantaged. He said commenced to come to that rnrs outside but bearing in mind instructions waited until straightening to place mnt under full pressure where mnt subsequently found line well. Tnr confirmed instructions & advised tongue-tie had previously been fitted to assist with breathing issue. 8 SWIFT SWEET 17/11/2021 Rosehill Gardens Began awkwardly and made contact with the outside barrier partition. Std that when placed under pressure in the straight, mnt commenced to race greenly and near the 300m laid out and made contact with rnr. Rdr added that the colt, which was having its first race start, will derive natural improvement from today’s performance. A postrace vet exam revealed the colt to be lame (2/5) in near foreleg. Tnr rep was advised that a vet clearance would be required prior to the colt being permitted to trial/race again. Vet clearance since received. 5 RUSSIAN ASSASSIN 5/02/2022 Royal Randwick From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Raced ungenerously approaching the 600m. 7 BIRDONAWING 6/11/2021 Rosehill Gardens Stewards permitted rider to ride the filly 0.5kg over its allotted weight of 54.5kg. Near the 800m was steadied from heels, shifted out & bumped with another runner. 9 MRS PATMORE 5/02/2022 Caulfield Raced wide throughout. 10 SWIFT SWEET 17/11/2021 Rosehill Gardens Began awkwardly and made contact with the outside barrier partition. Race 4 - 3:30PM ADAMA QUALI-PRO CG&E MAIDEN PLATE (1100 METRES) 6 ROCCAFORTE 8/09/2021 Gosford Shortly after the start had to be eased to avoid heels. Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. 7 SELHURST PARK 8/02/2022 Hawkesbury On jumping made heavy contact with another rnr. When qst re riding in early stages and whether opportunity to maintain position to inside of the leader, rdr std instructions were to obtain a fwd position. Said in early stages mnt failed to show expected speed and leader was able to put a margin on his mnt. Std near 800m preferred to maintain position to inside of leader, however, when rnr commenced to shift in elected to relinquish position and obtain cover as he was mindful of causing interference to rnrs to his inside. Stwds found that the tactics adopted were not unreasonable. Stewards Report
