Responsible Service of Alcohol The Brisbane Racing Club Ltd promotes and practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol. A key objective of the Brisbane Racing Club Ltd is to ensure that the behaviour of our racegoers does not adversely impact on other patrons, staff, our neighbours and the community at large. All staff members have been trained in the Responsible Service of Alcohol and are instructed not to serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under 18 years or to guests in a state of intoxication. Patrons deemed to be unduly intoxicated will be refused service and may be asked to leave the premises. Under 18’s Minors must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult (i.e. parent or guardian) exercising parental control and who actively supervises the minor at all times. DRESS MEMBERS’ RESERVE Ladies: Neat dress in keeping with contemporary standards. No bare midriffs. Gentlemen: 1 December to 31 March Short-sleeved collared business shirt tucked in with tailored fashion trousers and covered dress shoes. 1 April to 30 November Long-sleeved collared business shirt tucked in with tailored fashion trousers and covered dress shoes. Midweek: The Members’ Reserves are open to all, with patrons requested to dress in a neat and tidy manner. Important: * Denim, joggers, thongs and shorts are not permitted in Members’ Reserve areas. * Members and their Guests and Owners may be denied entry by BRC staff if the above regulations are not adhered to. * Shoes are to be worn at all times around the venue. * BRC Management reserves the right to exercise discretion in respect to dress regulations.

3 BOOKMAKERS’ MINIMUM WAGERS In accordance with Queensland Racing Local Rule 76, the Principle Authority prescribes a maximum bet amount, which a Brisbane Racing Club Bookmaker is required to accept and shall offer to accommodate the bettor to at least that amount. ALL RACE MEETINGS (Local & Southern Events) $1000 QUEENSLAND BOOKMAKERS’ ASSOCIATION BONDING SCHEME There shall be no obligation on the Queensland Bookmakers’ Association to honour any guarantees given in accordance with Section 143 of the Racing and Betting Act 1980-87 in respect of any lawful bet made under the Rules of Racing with Bookmakers registered with the Brisbane Racing Club unless the claimant gives the Committee written notification of the non-payment of such bet within thirty days of the making of the said bet. EACH WAY BETTING Bookmakers shall elect before each and every race whether they propose to bet WIN ONLY or EACH WAY. They shall indicate clearly on their board before setting their prices the elected mode of betting. They shall adhere to the elected mode of betting until the conclusion of betting on the said race. Bookmaker may, during the course of accepting bets, then elect - • If accepting “Win Only” bets, to accept “Win & Place” or “Each Way” bets from the time of such election to the cessation of betting on the race. • If accepting “Win & Place or “Each Way” bets, to accept “Win Only” bets from the time of such election to the cessation of betting on the race provided that the bookmaker shall make only one change during the course of accepting bets on the race. OWNERS INFORMATION Post race discussions with jockey and owners First to fifth – in the areas behind the barrier fencing of the place getter stalls Fifth to last – in the birdcage areas outside the jockeys rooms (N.B. only the jockey and trainer are permitted on the horse walkway areas) Dress code Persons attending the Birdcage or Mounting Yard must be dressed according to the Members Dress Code for that day. During the race Owners are permitted to watch the race from the Presentation Enclosure but must vacate immediately as the horses pass the post.

4 Safety Information The Brisbane Racing Club is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of employees, contractors and visitors at all times. EMERGENCY RESPONSE In the unlikely event of a major emergency, our Emergency Management Plan will take effect immediately. Patrons in effected areas will be communicated with immediately by either Public Address announcements, the big screen, TV screens, our wardens (BRC staff) or our EWIS siren. Emergency Warning and Intercommunications System (EWIS) ALERT ALARM Sound: ‘Beep… beep… beep.’ Cease all activity Secure all valuable items, if safe to do so Follow warden and staff instructions EVACUATION ALARM Sound: ‘Whoop… whoop… whoop.’ Leave venue via safest exit Proceed to assembly area as advised Do not use lifts during a fire/emergency. INCIDENT REPORTING & CUSTOMER FEEDBACK If you are involved in an incident or near miss or aware of any hazards, please report them to us using an Incident & Hazard Report Form which are available from the Raceday Office. Alternatively, any ideas, suggestions or concerns you have relating to safety can be e-mailed directly to us via admin@brc.com.au FIRST AID We have first aid facilities at all our venues. If you are injured or unwell, please ask our staff for directions to this service or for a first aid officer to be dispatched. SUN EXPOSURE Please remember that a day at the Races may involve significant time under the sun. In order to prevent harmful effects of the sun we suggest that you consider broad brimmed hats, sun screen, long sleeved clothing and sun glasses, utilizing shade and undercover viewing areas and keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Raced keenly in the early stages when obtaining a position with cover.CANT 20/11/2024 Freedom To Roam Blundered at the start & unbalanced. Hampered shortly after start. Approaching the 200m, improved onto heels & obliged to shift in. Approaching the 50m, laid out & became awkwardly placed at heels. When asked about performance, stated after receiving interference early, was obliged to settle back-added received further interference in home straight, however, was pleased with filly’s finishing efforts. Further added filly would derive benefit from race. Lost its near fore plate in running.E FM 26/03/2025 Ikuma Rdr reported from the wide barrier it was hoped to have settled in a moreforward position, however the filly was unable to show the necessary speed and, as a consequence, settled further back than anticipated. He added after having a conservative run through the early and middle stages he was disappointed in the manner in which the filly finished off the race. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Rdr reported the gelding travelled satisfactorily, however failed to let down when placed under pressure in the home straight and was disappointing in the manner in which it gave ground from the 300m, and he added it appears to perform best on a rain affected track. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. NCLE 16/11/2024 Lantau Island Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Near the 200m was bumped and became unbalanced. DOOM 01/04/2025 Saratoga Power Began awkwardly. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Near the 200m when shifted out to fully establish clear running, was contacted on the hindquarter. Passing the 100m when racing tight to the inside rider momentarily lost use of his whip. When questioned regarding the performance, rider explained that his mount failed to sprint over 1000m carrying the heavy weight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. SCNE 17/02/2025 Top Bird Laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure down the straight. MWBH 27/12/2024 Woosh Ka Boom When commencing to tire near the 100m, was buffeted between runners. Rdr advised mare travelled well early, however when placed under pressure in the home straight and being hampered, proved disappointing. A post-race vet exam revealed a poor recovery. DOOM 01/04/2025 Indaza Overraced passing the 800m. Held up for the entirety of the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested. DOOM 01/04/2025 Race 5 Hector De Maris (IRE) Leaving the 200m, was momentarily crowded for room. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.E FM 26/03/2025 Master Copy (IRE) Slow to begin. Over-raced passing the wining post on the first occasion and was obliged to steady to avoid heels. DOOM 01/04/2025 Mindspace Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.E FM 26/03/2025 Kiptanui When questioned re leading event, Rdr explained after being caught wide early, rode positively to take up a leading position & was able to cross & lead after 1800m-added after attempting to restrain gelding passing 1600m, mount failed to respond & commenced to over race for a considerable distance-further added passing 1200m, mount commenced to settle but was mindful gelding had obtained a considerable gap to the remainder of the field and commenced to weaken on entering the home straight. WYNG 19/03/2025 Chillaxing (IRE) Shifted out under pressure approaching the 250m.E FM 26/03/2025 Fast Lady Obliged to steady from heels and shift inwards near the 1300m. Laid in round home-turn. TWBA 28/03/2025 Kirikan (NZ) Rdr reported on straightening attempted to improve between runners, however passing 300m, mount failed to respond to riding & was reluctant to improve into the run. When asked about performance, Tnr’s rep stated had been pleased with gelding’s work leading into event & stable was unaffected by the recent weather conditions-added given gelding had an interrupted run in the home straight between runners, the gelding was unable to sprint with the large weight when obtaining clear running over the concluding stages. 13 Stewards Report Autumngirl When asked about performance, Rdr reported filly travelled comfortably, however when asked to quicken after passing the 400m, did not finish the race off as anticipated. A post-race vet exam revealed a poor recovery & mild heat stress. Tnr stated horse had missed a start due to a washed out meeting a fortnight ago, had not started for five weeks & this may have had an affect on the horse’s finishing effort-indicated the horse may appreciate racing on more rain affected surfaces and would now be spelled. Today at Doomben is the finale of the National Apprentice Race Series. The series began at Hobart’s Elwick racecourse (March 23) and then on to Fannie Bay in Darwin (March 28), Ascot in Perth (April 2), Murray Bridge in SA (April 9), before the final heats at Doomben. There are two races designated for selected apprentice riders from each State, except NSW, which now does not enter a team in the series. The opportunity to travel to various venues provides the young riders with an opportunity to experience different course layouts and to learn from many of the most promising talents in Australia. Successful jockeys such as Glen Boss, Jimmy Orman, Damien Lane, Angela Jones, etc, has all participated in the NARS in the early stages of their careers. The BRC is delighted to be the host of the final of this year’s series and wish all the riders the best of luck today. NATIONAL APPRENTICE RACE SERIES JOCKEY PROFILE

BAILEY WHEELER, 20 Riding Weight: 53kg RIDING RECORD Metro Wins: 85 Provincial Wins: 92 Country Wins: 79 Apprentice Jockey Bailey Wheeler recently rode his eightieth Metropolitan winner. This act completed a milestone of his apprenticeship and of outriding his apprentice claim. Bailey is currently sitting second in the Metropolitan Apprenctice Premiership. At his rank, Bailey has extended his time to allow participation in the National Apprentice Race Series and win a heat of the 2025 series, as he did in 2024. CHLOE WELLS , 24 Riding Weight: 51.5kg Provincial Claim: 3kg RIDING RECORD Provincial Wins: 14 Country Wins: 46 Hailing from Tasmania, apprentice Jockey Chloe Wells faced great adversity early in her career. When due to a serious leg injury, she was sidelined for 14 months in 2021. Fast forward, Chloe currently sits third on the overall Jockeys Premiership. However with 29 wins, this also makes her the leading apprentice. Chloe has represented Tasmania twice previously at NARS. This includes riding a winner at the Hobart Leg in 2023. Since moving to Brisbane, Cody has established himself as a leading Metropolitan Apprentice with 160 winners to his credit. Cody is currently sitting third in the Apprentice Metropolitan Premiership. Emily first represented in South Australia in 2023, where she won on both her mounts. Again in 2024 at Ascot in Western Australia, where unfortunately luck deserted on this occasion. Following his winning rides in NARS 2023, Luke benefited a secondment opportunity in Vicoria. While based in VIC, Luke rode 15 winners. Of which included three metropolitan levels at Caulfield, Sandown and Flemington Racecourse. Returning to WA, Luke won the WA Apprentice Cup and a further four listed winners in the 2023/24 season.
