MEMBERS ’ D r e s s R e g u l a t i o n s Whilst acknowledging the importance of tradition, the Moonee Valley Racing Club is a progressive and innovative race club. Following feedback from our members we have adjusted our dress code to ensure it represents modern fashion, whilst maintaining the distinction of our Members’ Reserve. MEN - TRADITIONAL Applies to all day meetings including Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day. Excludes summer meetings. Gentlemen (and children aged 13 and over) are required to wear a collar and tie, tailored trousers and either a suit coat, sports coat or blazer. NOT PERMITTED: Any variation of runner including joggers, sandals, thongs or any dilapidated footwear. Denim and denimlook clothing, jeans, jodhpurs, shorts, shirts without a collar, polo shirts, parkas, windbreakers, tracksuits, jackets including bomber jackets, duffle coats, untailored leather jackets, peaked caps, beanies, pullovers or cardigans without a jacket, sporting guernseys. MEN - SUMMER RELAXED Applies to all night meetings and summer day meetings. Gentlemen (and children aged 13 and over) are required to wear a collared shirt with tailored trousers or chinos. No tie is required, and suit coat, sports coat or blazer is optional. Dress shoes or leather boat shoes must be worn. Dress shorts, polo shirts and dress sneakers are now permitted during the Summer Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights Season only. (1 December – 28 February) WOMEN Applies to all meetings. Ladies are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the distinction of the Members’ Reserve. NOT PERMITTED: Any variation of runner including joggers, rubber thongs or any dilapidated footwear. Denim and denim look clothing, jeans, jodhpurs, parkas, windbreakers, tracksuits, jackets including bomber jackets, duffle coats, untailored leather jackets, peaked caps, beanies, sporting guernseys, any clothing revealing excessive bare midriff.
