1 CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE ’ We hope you find some Summer form with us this Australia Day with an eight-race card including the Neds Blue Diamond Stakes previews featuring the exciting equine stars to watch over Summer at Caulfield. To mark the occasion we have Jye McNeil donning the flag, wearing the Australia Day Colour on Blazejowski in the John Dillion Stakes. We’re also paying tribute to former Club Vice Chairman Mary Bell in the fifth race of the day, with the second running of the Mary Bell. Mary was the first woman to hold an Executive position on the MRC Committee or any metropolitan race club. She carried out her role with distinction and was greatly admired by her colleagues. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions Mary is unable to be with us in Melbourne today. We’re thrilled to be able to host up to 5,000 Members and racegoers across various dining precincts and spaces on course to watch all the racing action play out. Whether you are in The Promenade by Julian Robertshaw being treated to a delicious a menu celebrating Victorian producers and regional growers, or in one of our favourite bars, Medallion Bar, The 1876 or Caulfield Wine Bar featuring T’Gallant, there’s so many ways to enjoy the day.
