2 Dear Members, Well we are experiencing some very difficult times. We have now gone back to closing 11 of our 12 PLG bistros to the public. Stoney’s in Bacchus Marsh remains open for customers as it sits outside the metropolitan zone. For our metropolitan Melbourne customers, you can order meals for takeaway and delivery from our other venues. We will all be following the latest advice and wearing masks when we go outside our homes. This includes any and all of our staff who work our racedays or are required in our offices. The Covid 19 restrictions are in place to protect us and our loved ones. Racing continues with very strict protocols. Let us hope that these new protocols cut the infection spread so that we can get back to some normality. It is very important that we reach out to all our family and friends particularly those living alone. Six weeks of lockdown is tough on all of us but is particularly difficult for those who may not have immediate family or friends living with them. It is important to continue to be kind and show our support to one another in any way we can. Many racing people are being innovative. Holding race tipping competitions online using social media to engage with friends and racegoers while not being able to attend the track. We are very fortunate to have Racing.com providing us with a great coverage of racing each week. Tune into Richo and the team on channel 78 or Foxtel 529. Ben Asgari provides plenty of winners as do Hutchy and our great caller Matt Hill. Our Committee and Executive are doing everything they can to sustain our club and racing. You, our Members, are always our primary focus. With today, Bletchingly Stakes Day, being the final race day of the season, we are looking towards spring and what that can mean for the Club. A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
