2 Chairman’s Message. With our Spring Racing Carnival in full swing, I’m excited to witness another great day of Spring racing at the Heath on what is set to be a beautiful sunny day. Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes Day is a wonderful mid-week race day at Caulfield, with three Group 3 races including the Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes, Ladies’ Day Vase and the Neds Coongy Cup, the final race providing the final ballot-free entry into the Stella Artois Caulfield Cup. And don’t forget to tune in to Racing.com tonight after our last race to see the barriers drawn for Saturday’s $5m Stella Artois Caulfield Cup. It will be on After The Last, as it happens. We are pleased to welcome Ms Bianca North virtually to the race day, as our Name In Lights member. Today we name the Bianca North Handicap in her honour and can’t wait to welcome Bianca and all our members back on track soon. Our Caulfield Cup Hero has been announced. Congratulations to Deborah Ward who was nominated by Tracey Fenton as her local hero. We’re looking forward to welcoming you both on Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Day for the all-important trophy procession. Keep an eye out for your emails tomorrow as we will notify our members of their saddlecloth number for the Stella Artois Caulfield Cup which features their name. Purchase a piece of history as all saddlecloths go up for auction post-race with all funds donated to the MRC Foundation.
