Inconvenienced on entering the home straight. When questioned re tactics, Rdr stated mount raced fierce throughout and failed to settle at any stage during the event. Stewards will follow up with stable. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. E FM 01/06/2024 Smokin’ Princess Slow to begin. Raced keenly in early and middle stages. Rdr said mount overraced and with slow tempo he moved around the field from 1500m and ultimately settled outside the leader near the 1200m. Added when unable to lead his mount continued to overrace and for this reason he was unable to restrain and reduce the tempo. Post race vet exam revealed horse to be lame in the near hind leg and sustained superficial lacerations to near hind pastern. Vet cert req.
