She said her mnt then proved somewhat reluctant to shift out, which resulted in her being unable to fully test it until after passing the 200m, whereby she shifted outwards and once into clear running and balanced up, it closed the race off well. Rider reported her mount raced aggressively throughout which was detrimental to the performance. Trainer Symon Wilde reported after beginning well, Darkbonee settled further forward than intended. Mr Wilde was of the opinion the gelding may not have been suited racing between other runners. Rdr reported that gelding began only fairly and as Evaporate can overrace, he was reluctant to make use of the gelding in early stages and as a result ultimately settled further back than it had at its most recent starts.
