Std approaching first turn, mnt commenced to lay out, raced greenly & was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn. Added mnt, in his opinion, was not suited by the tight turning track. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider stated that his mount travelled well for only the first 200m and was disappointing thereafter and did not respond to his riding in the straight. Race 2 - 1:43PM NCG SERVICES HANDICAP (1000 METRES) 2 DISTILLATE 29/01/2022The Valley Slow to begin. 3 FANGELA 13/02/2022NowraA pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding which was delayed on course due to transport difficulties, cleared the gelding fit to start. 4 PRETTY WOMAN 11/09/2021Flemington Rdr could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. 5 DELIGHTFUL DREAM 3/12/2021 Mudgee Overraced when racing wide without cover throughout. Rider explained that his mount had pulled hard in the early and middle stages and approaching the 1000m clipped heels before racing with without cover for the remainder of the event, and as a result was left without a finishing effort. Co-Trainer advised that the gelding had pulled up well and the stable were of the view the geldings racing manners had not aided his efforts and would now drop the gelding back in trip. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. 8 ITALIAN INFORMANT 8/01/2022 Wyong Bumped on jumping. 9 EMMA’S GIFT 19/02/2022Wagga Blundered on jumping. Qst re the fast early tempo, apprentice rdr stated she was instructed to begin prominently and obtain cover if able, but prevent restraining mnt as it can over-race & pull hard when being restrained. Rdr std mnt blundered on jumping & lost ground, she then commenced to pressure mnt to obtain forward position & did not restrain mnt to prevent it over racing & as a result was three wide no cover. Rdr was adv in such circumstances she must take reasonable measures to attempt to restrain mnt to obtain cover. 13 RED KANZI 25/02/2022Canberra Was slow to begin. Was held up from the 600m and from the 500m remained held up and did not obtain clear running until passing the 300m. Race 3 - 2:18PM SENPOS HANDICAP (1200 METRES) 2 DON LUIGI 22/02/2022Kembla GrangeRaced keenly in the early stages and near the 700m had to be eased and shifted out to avoid heels. Raced wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. 3 MASCHERATA (NZ) 17/02/2022Goulburn Reared as the start was affected and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. 4 OH NO MIKKI 19/02/2022Wagga Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight and passing the 400m and again at the 250m was bumped. 5 SHOTGUN ALLI 16/11/2021Wyong Slow to begin. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be lame (3/5) in the near-hind leg. Tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to barrier trialling or racing again. Tnr advised the mare would now be spelled. Vet clearance since received. 6 DEVILS TRIANGLE 26/02/2022Royal Randwick Crowded on jumping. Near the 800m was steadied to avoid heels. 7 MERCURY 17/02/2022Goulburn Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight until the 50m. Race 4 - 2:53PM TAB LICKETY SPLIT (1000 METRES) 2 MIL CIENTO 25/02/2022Canberra Raced three-wide throughout and hung out approaching and rounding the home turn. 3 ROCCAFORTE 8/09/2021 Gosford Shortly after the start had to be eased to avoid heels. Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. 4 STARIKS 25/01/2022Bathurst Slow to begin and was then shifted behind runners from a wide barrier in the early stages. Raced keenly passing the 800m when racing in restricted room. 5 ELUSIVE BIRDIE 22/02/2022Kembla GrangeBegan awkwardly and made contact with the nearside partition of the barrier. 6 MICKEYRATS 18/06/2021Canberra ActonOver-raced in the early and middle stages. Leaving the 300m was held up on the heels and had to be shifted out. 7 STUNNING SUNRISE 29/10/2021Wagga Commenced to lay outwards rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be 2/5 lame in the near hind leg. Trainer was advised a veterinary certificate would be required prior to race or trial again. Clearance received.
