2 Bookmakers in the main betting ring are required to bet the odds to lose $2,000 plus place on Canberra Mile Day, Black Opal Day and Canberra Cup Day on Canberra races and $1,000 on other Canberra race days. On all other race meetings (away race meetings) on all race days’ bookmakers in the main betting ring are required to bet the odds to lose $1,000 plus place. Bookmakers operating on stands outside the main betting ring including function rooms on Canberra and/or other venues are required to bet the odds to lose $1,000 plus place on all race days.
