He added that from his wide draw, and when his mnt which was relaxed was a little slow to begin, which he attributed to the addition of ear-muffs to the gelding’s gear, his mnt raced further back today whilst also being obliged to race wide throughout. Raced keenly in the early stages. He add his mnt began well today & he took up a more forward pos. He add however that whilst his mnt appeared disappointing in the straight it was unsuited by the slow tempo in the early and middle stages and in his view would be better suited being cover. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in its off-foreleg (grade 1/5). Trnr was told that he would be required to provide a vet clear prior to the gelding being permitted to race again. Vet cert received. 10 POCKET MISSILE 16/02/2021 GoulburnSlow to begin. 12 BLACK BACARDI 27/02/2021 GoulburnBegan awkwardly. Was inclined to lay in passing the 200m resulting in its rider having to steady when awkwardly placed close to the heels of a runner. Race 5 - 3:45PM TAB LICKETY SPLIT (1000 METRES) 2 DESTINY’S REPUBLIC 22/02/2021 Queanbeyan Passing the 300m laid out and became awkwardly placed on the heels of a runner and had to be corrected. 8 ASSERTING 16/02/2021 GoulburnQ’d rdr std that his mnt was under pressure from the 700m and soon after straightening lost ground quickly and as such he formed the impression that something was amiss with his mount. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be exhibiting cardiac arrythmia. Trainer was told that he would be required to provide a veterinary clearance including the satisfactory results of an ECG prior to the filly also having to barrier trial to the Steward’s satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again. Vet cert received. Trialed 23/2/21 Canterbury. 11 ILE FLOTTANTE 21/02/2021 GoulburnHeld up for clear running until passing the 250m. 15e I CALL JUNEE HOME 19/02/2021 Canberra Slow to begin and soon after the start came into contact with a runner which was being tightened by a runner which was taken in. 17e SOGERI 22/02/2021 QueanbeyanSlow to begin and became unbalanced soon after when inconvenienced by a runner which shifted out. 18e MIXED UP FACTOR 19/02/2021 Canberra Rider reported that he was instructed to take up a forward position however his mount was tardily away and then over-raced with its head up in the early and middle stages.
