1 Chairman’s Welcome Welcome to day two of the Canberra Carnival, TAB Canberra Cup Day. Today has a strong family focus and we hope you enjoy the plethora of free entertainment that we have to partner the unrivalled thrill of live racing. There is $600,000 worth of prizemoney to be won across the meeting taking the total prizemoney of our two day Carnival to $1.24million. Today’s feature the $250,000 Listed TAB Canberra Cup has again attracted a magnificent field. Today’s other feature race is the $150,000 Listed Iron Jack Canberra Guineas. On behalf of the Club I would like to extend my gratitude to all today’s sponsors, TAB, Iron Jack Senpos, OPC IT, NCG Services, TurfCare Australia and winners of our $300 sponsors promotion the North Canberra Bears RLFC. The full list of activities can be found in your racebook. Today’s race meeting is the 35th running of the Members Tipping Competition. It’s free to play and available only to members of the Club. To win, you ‘simply’ need to pick the last six winners on the card through the Club’s website. Of course, picking six winners isn’t easy but we’ve had a number of near misses with members correctly selecting 5 out of 6 in previous weeks! The prize pool has jackpotted to $35,000 (if not won at yesterday’s Black Opal Stakes meeting). Full terms and conditions are available on the Club’s website.
