2 Useful Information Members Tipping Competition Take part in the tipping competition at each of the Club’s 25 race meetings. The tipping competition is only open to Members. A minimum of $250 food & beverage credit will be won each meeting with a 20% bonus to any winner (s) who are on-course and have swiped their members’ badge at a Thoroughbred Park terminal on the day. Members select a runner in each race, with a 3-2-1 points system to determine the winner (s) each meeting. Any Member who can correctly select the last 6 winners on the program will recieve a free $1,000 bet on the following TAB Federal. Full terms and conditions are available on the website. Children under the age of 18 Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times within Thoroughbred Park. Unaccompanied children under the age of 18 years will not be admitted entry. 3 Emergency Procedures at Thoroughbred Park You should take your immediate effects and proceed quickly (do not run). In the event of an emergency, please remember: 1. Listen carefully to the public address system, 2. Follow the directions of the Wardens and staff, 3. Move quickly to the designated Safe Assembly Areas. The safety of all who attend Race meetings and functions at Thoroughbred Park is of paramount importance. Canberra Racing Club staff are trained to effectively manage any emergency should one arise. Should an emergency situation occur, the course broadcaster will sound the alert over the public address system and issue instructions to all patrons. On hearing the instructions; patrons are requested to remain calm and prepare to follow further instructions from the Emergency Wardens. Emergency Wardens will be easily identifiable as they will be wearing coloured helmets. Mobility impaired patrons, including hearing and sight impaired, should make contact with an Emergency Warden as they may need a “buddy” to assist them. On hearing the evacuation instruction, the Wardens will usher you to the safe assembly areas, so it is essential that you follow their instructions. Unless you are instructed otherwise, the safe assembly areas are as shown below. Safe Assembly Areas A The grassed area inside the main entrance behind the public toilets. B In front of the storage sheds C The course proper (grass track) in front of the saddling enclosure. Accessed through the saddling enclosure. D For horse stall patrons, the area formerly known as the jockeys car park, which is at the back of the stalls but down next to (but not on) the course proper.

ACT06/06/2025 Burrowa Change of tactics to be ridden forward; Slow to begin (2L), ridden along in early stages to take up trailing position midfield. When questioned regarding the performance rdr stated that after beginning slowly she had to make use of the gelding in the early stages to obtain a position midfield. She added that she felt the gelding didn’t appreciate the shifty track conditions as well and that both these factors contributed to her mount not finishing off as expected. GOUL 30/05/2025 Tendi Slow to begin. Approaching the 900m had to be eased to avoid heels. Approaching the 800m when racing in restricted room, made contact with the running rail, became unbalanced and, as a result, had to be checked. GOSF 25/04/2025 Brume De Soliel Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly which was on debut, rider advised that his mount felt uncomfortable in its action and did not stretch out in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any abnormality. GOUL 24/05/2024 Peace By The River COT: intention to be ridden with cover: settled in the lead. Rider reported that, as notified to Stewards, he was instructed to ride the gelding with cover. He said, however, when no runners to his outside showed intent to lead, then commenced to race keenly and he was therefore obliged to settle in the lead. K GR 04/01/2025 Race 3 DEE IS GREAT HANDICAP 1080M Baggage Handler Slow into stride. When giving ground near the 100m was hampered. Rider reported his mount did not handle tonight’s Moonee Valley circuit, raced greenly and gave ground over the latter stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained superficial wounds to the right fore. Further, a post-race endoscopic examination identified a throat condition that may have affected the horse’s racing performance. M V07/02/2025 Zambezi River Missed the start (3L). Raced keenly in the early stages. WYNG 08/06/2025 Rubi Air Near the 1000m was bumped and carried wider. DUBB 03/02/2025 Ferrari Girl Passing the 200m became unbalanced when contacted on the hindquarters by another rnr.ACT06/06/2025 Xspiritous On straightening raced tight between runners.GOUL 30/05/2025 Miss Scoop Passing the 200m rider momentarily dropped her off-side rein. WAGG 05/06/2025 Titan Star When questioned regarding settling further back, rider stated that it was his intention to settle in a forward position, however his mount failed to show early speed to obtain a position and with horses with to his outside showing more intent, he settled further back than anticipated. GOUL 13/06/2025 Anthracia Checked near 200m.ACT23/05/2025 Ginjari Close to the winning post, ran out across heels and had to be checked. SAPH 31/10/2024 Race 4 THE GI-DEE-UP PLATE 1280M Cold Mist When caught very wide in the early stages allowed to stride forward to share lead. Raced three-wide throughout. ACT 06/06/2025 London Boy When quset re riding in early stages of home straight, rdr explained that he had endeavoured to shift out from behind winner prior to straightening but as winner shifted out slightly on straightening and whilst a gap appeared directly ahead to inside he was committed to shifting out. He added that even if he had improved to inside he felt it didn’t lessen mounts chances of winning and that he had most of straight if good enough. GOUL 13/06/2025 Oh Kelly Rdr said mount would be better suited to tracks with more give and may also benefit from addition of Blinkers and step up in distance. STAW 20/05/2024 Rocas Grandes (NZ) When questioned regarding shifting wider passing the 800m, apprentice rdr stated that when racing in a three-wide line passing the 800m she viewed apprentice rdr who was racing to her inside having extreme difficulties with her mount after the saddle had shifted forward and thus shifted out to allow room for her to safely shift out to help prevent her clipping heels of the runners in front of her. 5 Shoesmith On jumping was crowded between rnrs. When questioned rider stated that the intention was to race further forward and find cover however after being crowded at the start was initially obliged to race further back and eventually was caught racing four-wide throughout. Rider was reprimanded (AR 132(6)(c) for using her whip on her mount when out of contention. ACT06/06/2025 Extremely Exciting Slow to begin. Trainer explained that the instructions have been in all starts to settle in a forward position, however in recent starts the gelding has been slow into stride and `unable to obtain a forward position. HTON 29/05/2025 Dashing Power Contacted at start by another rnr. Passing the winning post the first time was steadied when crowded between rnrs. Raced three-wide from the 1200m. ACT06/06/2025 Lucky Star Raced three-wide in the early stages. Approaching the finish shifted out and had to be steadied away from heels. ACT 06/06/2025 Suspicious Time (NZ) Passing the 600m was directed inward to avoid the heels of rnr. GOUL 13/06/2025 Remadosi (NZ) Slow to begin. PRKS 18/05/2025 I Am A Rockstar Raced three-wide in the early stages. When qust rdr stated that instructions were to be positive early and if possible lead. He added that his mnt was a little slow to muster early and when rnrs to his inside maintained their positions and rnrs to his outside showed superior speed he was obliged to ease his mount to take a trailing position off the speed rather than be trapped three-wide. He further added that when the tempo increased from the 700m his mount was flat-footed and when rnr improved quickly to outside and was briefly held up and then was very one-paced to finish.
