Trainer W Savage was advised that whilst no action would be taken against the gelding today, a similar occurrence may result in some action being taken. COURS VITE (J Philpot) – Slow into stride. GAME COVE (J Booth) – Inclined to lay in down the home straight causing its rider some difficulties in fully testing her mount. A subsequent veterinary examination of the gelding found the off front frog to be a little tender but not lame. BAD MAN (J Doyle) – 1ST GOLDEN TUNES 2ND BRAZEN SAILOR 3RD COURS VITE Race 2: Ladbrokes Red Centre Winter Series (Heat 7) Handicap (Div 2) 0-58 - 1200m REVOLUTION RISING (P Denton) – Began awkwardly veering inwards. RIVERINA WALTZ (J Philpot) – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event. ONLY THE BEST (H Le Blanc) – Lay out under pressure rounding the home turn and continued to lay out down the length of the straight. SPLISH SPLASH (J Doyle) – Stood flat-footed as start effected losing some ground. TAORMINA DUCHESS (J Booth) – Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout. Rider reported that she was of the opinion that the mare did not feel right in its front legs. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. 1ST ONLY THE BEST 2ND SPLISH SPLASH 3RD REVOLUTION RISING Race 3: Territory Connect Leadership On Larapinta Maiden Plate SW - 1100m DENUTO (L Maloney) – Cast its near hind plate in running. FLAVIUS (D Hirini) – Began awkwardly. IZ SHAFT (J Booth) – Began awkwardly getting its head up and raced wide throughout. Trainer L Walling-Denton was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding after it cantankerous behaviour in the mounting yard which resulted in its rider being dislodged. HIGHSTRUNG (J Philpot) – Veered inwards on jumping bumping with another runner STARTYOURENGINE (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. 1ST HIGHSTRUNG 2ND STARTYOURENGINE 3RD FLAVIUS ace 4: Truckies Day 28th August Handicap BMNT – 1100m Trainer G Connor was interviewed in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders as he had multiple runners in this event. BONNY IMPACT (L Maloney) – Underwent a veterinary examination at the barriers after hitting the upright when being loaded and subsequently cleared to start.
