12 Stewards Report Race 1 EVE ELECTRICAL 2YO HANDICAP 1100M Nymphadora Passing the 300m became unbalanced after being bumped. Near the 700m was inconvenienced. KENS 27/03/2024 The Eyes Have It As the start was effected turned its head and, as a consequence, was slow to begin. From the outside barrier then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. RHIL 03/02/2024 Justice Please From the outside barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. Unable to be fully tested over the final 100m when held up. NCLE 21/03/2024 Race 2 SNEDDON BROS. MAINTENANCE SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP 1600M Taipan Legend On jumping, made contact with another rnr and shortly after was crowded for room. Momentarily held up on entering the home straight. From the 150m until passing the 100m raced in restricted room.HAWK 28/03/2024 Glebe (NZ) Bumped on jumping. K GR 23/03/2024 Ladyking Raced three wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Rdr reported that, after beginning well, he rode his mount along in an effort to avoid being caught wide and without cover. He added that, after it became apparent he was not going to obtain a forward position, he restrained Ladyking and was consequently left racing wide and without cover and, as a consequence, the filly was left without a strong finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be slow to recover. SCNE 22/03/2024 Hartman COT: To be ridden with cover; settled on pace with cover. Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. KENS 13/03/2024 Montgomery Stable representative was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record after proving difficult to load. GOUL 24/03/2024 Queen Of Drama From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. K GR 23/03/2024 Race 3 PLUIM GROUP BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 2100M Blackcomb Passing the 250m shifted inwards across the heels of a runner, which laid outwards. ALB 22/03/2024 Vaguer (IRE) Was held up rounding the home turn. CANB 10/03/2024 Awesome Wonder (IRE) Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. KENS 27/03/2024 Piraeus Rdr reported approaching the winning post his mnt laid in resulting in him not fully testing the horse over the final stride when taking corrective action. WYNG 20/03/2024 Fay’s Angels When left racing wide and without cover from the 1600m then was allowed to stride forward to assume a position outside the leader near the 1300m. RHIL 16/03/2024 Our Maryanne Rdr was reminded of his obligations to ensure he rides his mnt out to the end of the race. KENS 27/03/2024 Izfallingdown Was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1200m commenced to race keenly and was steadied from heels. W FM 01/04/2024 Race 4 PREMISES AUS PTY LTD 3&4YO BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP 1600M Long Genes Began only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. RHIL 23/03/2024 Bullets High (NZ) From a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. Between the 400m and the 200m was shifted out across heels of a number of rnrs to obtain clear running passing the 200m where it was then able to be placed under full pressure. KENS 27/03/2024 Piercing Arrow On jumping shifted out and made contact with another rnr. When questioned, rdr std after obtaining lead in early stages as anticipated, he then was obliged to pressure mnt near the 800m to maintain its position. Added when joined in the lead by another rnr near the 600m, this resulted in him applying further pressure to mnt and consequently it was left without a finishing effort. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities other than a mildly slow recovery rate. Co-tnr said the colt was not suited being pressured for the lead throughout event and it would take benefit from the run. W FM 06/03/2024 Vain Invader When questioned, rdr std he felt the solid pace set throughout the race did not suit his mnt as it never travelled on the bit, and it was then one-paced under pressure in the straight A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be lame (2/5) in the off-foreleg. Tnr was told a vet clearance will be required prior to next race/trial. K GR 15/03/2024 Yet He Moves Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with another rnr. CANT 08/12/2023
