ON TRACK MAGAZINE 57 CELEBRATING ONE YEAR WITH LADBROKES The first race meeting of the 2018/19 season saw Ladbrokes and the MVRC celebrate their one- year milestone as partners. Our partnership with Ladbrokes has already achieved many milestones in its first 12 months with the Ladbrokes Cox Plate now offering $5 million in prizemoney, the construction of the Ladbrokes Lounge and added value to our membership offering. “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ladbrokes in the first of what will be a profitable eight-year partnership for both parties,” says Michael Browell, MVRC CEO. “So much has been achieved in our first year and we look forward to bringing to life our plans over the coming season”. To celebrate the occasion, red velvet cupcakes were given to Ladbrokes customers in the Ladbrokes Lounge on August 4. ROLL UP, ROLL UP - SILVERS CIRCUS PUTS ON A SHOW One of Australia’s biggest names in the circus business, Silvers Circus, stopped in at The Valley throughout June bringing the big top to the racecourse infield. For 10 days, the two-hour show amazed crowds with show stopping performances, bringing a touch of Las Vegas through the Wheel of Steel, The Globe of Death and much more. We hope members took advantage of the discounted tickets on offer and we thank those who attended for their support, for such events drive commercial outcomes for the Club that help us keep costs down in areas that impact our members.
