ON TRACK MAGAZINE 55 JIM HOGAN JOINS MOONEE VALLEY RACING CLUB COMMITTEE The Moonee Valley Racing Club was pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Hogan to the Moonee Valley Racing Club Committee in July, filling the vacancy created following the retirement of Kate O’Sullivan. With the MVRC’s expanding interests in the gaming and hospitality sector, the Club decided to seek a candidate that possessed expertise and experience in this field. Jim’s background in the hospitality industry identified him as a perfect candidate to join the Committee. Jim was also a former executive member of the Australian Hotels Association and Frontier Hospitality, both not-for-profit organisations in the hospitality industry. Jim has lived locally for much of his life and has been a member of the MVRC for 35 years. He also holds a strong knowledge of the racing industry with over 30 years’ experience and has enjoyed the highs and lows of racehorse ownership.
