Champion Racehorses by Ratings 1982/83 - 2019/20 The Australian Classifications are an accurate tool in comparing the merits of a horse’s performances over time. From season 2000/01 onwards the weights of those horses listed have been aligned with those weights of the other age categories and weights prior to this season have been retrospectively adjusted in the list below. From 1 August 2005 Australia adopted the international standard in rating fillies and mares and no longer add a sex allowance of 4 rating points to their ratings.
