BUREAU SERVICE For over 10 years Racing Australia has delivered bureau services to the Principal Racing Authorities compiling the Nominations, Acceptances, Scratchings and Stable Returns for all race meetings excluding Western Australia. Over the years the Service Centre has taken on additional functions for the Thoroughbred racing industry where a centralised bureau approach provides operational and investment efficiency while delivering a high level of service. Building upon the knowledge and experience of the Service Centre and combining it with the Single National System project, Racing Victoria appointed Racing Australia to manage its annual licence renewal process. From the commencement of the renewal period in June 2017, Racing Australia implemented an online service for renewals with more than half of the renewals completed online. Racing Australia also provided a service for the completion of paper applications based upon a 48 hours turnaround from receipt to dispatch of the industry ticketing. Operations Chief Executive Officer’s Report continued In June 2016 Racing NSW commenced the introduction of online licence renewals for a range of licence types. Having successfully implemented an expanded bureau services, Racing Australia is actively working to expand its bureau service capabilities and usage.
