RISA expands and enhances its online offering to enable the Cancellation of Nominations via Stable Assist

RISA is pleased to advise that it has introduced the ability to complete a nomination cancellation online via Stable Assist 24/7 following feedback received from numerous Trainers requesting they be able to complete a Nomination cancellation online as an alternative to calling the RISA Service Centre

RISA treats discussion and engagement with the industry as pivotal, and the decision to enhance Stable Assist to enable the cancellation of Nominations is further evidence of the importance of increasing online functionality for industry stakeholders.

Trainers can now cancel at Nomination Stage prior to the closure of Nominations however the system will not permit a cancellation after closure time.

The current process will not change as Trainers will not see the final Nominations until after they have closed.

Single National System Update

We are pleased to report that the first of the SNS modules are now either deployed and operational or close to being fully deployed at all Principal Racing Authorities (PRA’s) and the process of demonstrating the Race Day Module has commenced.

With this first stage of the project nearing completion, it has provided RISA an opportunity to review the project to date to identify learning’s and improvements which can be implemented in the next stages of the project.

These include:

  • An increased focus on engagement with end users of the modules at the PRA’s to assist with improving information flow and ensuring end users of the SNS modules are familiar and comfortable with any changes and the rationale for them.

  • Improving the overall flow of information exchange and testing of functional requirements in order to keep the project on schedule and on budget. We are achieving this by focussing on engagement with individual PRA’s on a one to one basis in addition to group Webex sessions. This has created an environment in which PRA representatives are able to provide information and exchange ideas more freely.

  • A monthly conference call with the single national system workgroup has been initiated to receive project updates and to provide feedback on requirements moving forward.
