I would like to take this opportunity to advise that our AGM will be held at
5.30pm on Tuesday 10th November 2015
. As per our rotation policy, 2 positions will become vacant this year. Mr Michael O’Neill and Mr James Jarvis will now be required to seek re-election to the Board.
If you are interested in nominating for the Board as a Members elected representative you should contact me for more information and to receive a nomination form. Nominations must be received at my office by 4pm on Tuesday the 6th of October, 2015. Please note that under a new Racing NSW directive, Members who hold a current Racing NSW License will not eligible to nominate for the Board.
The 2015-16 season is now well underway and we have given the track a good hit out with 5 meetings conducted so far over the newly installed drainage lines. Stage one has been completed and the 2nd stage works have now commenced to complete the overall drainage project with more than $1.1m now being spent by Racing NSW on the facility in the past 18 months. The works will be completed prior to our next race meeting on the 30th of October.
The Coffs Cup meeting was a wonderful day of racing and fashion and a positive start for the Club. This season we have been asked to host 5 additional meetings from Port Macquarie while there track is renovated which will make up for our own lost meetings earlier in the year. Our newly appointed Directors (From Racing NSW) have jumped in boots and all and we have commenced looking toward the future and a new strategic plan is being developed which we would love to get your input on.
Don’t forget it’s time to contact us now if you want to get a package together for our Melbourne Cup Race Day on Tuesday November 3rd and our Pre Christmas meeting (Men of League Raceday) on Friday December 4th or Pink Silks Ladies Day on January 10th.
