“Seven million reasons to be in Perth this summer!!”

Dear Trainer The Perth Racing summer carnival has always been focussed on delivering world class racing at the majestic Ascot Racecourse and with massive increases in prizemoney across the board, we will see over $7 million in prizemoney offered over the 6 weeks of the 2015 Perth Racing Summer Carnival. We again look forward to welcoming the very best thoroughbred competition from far and wide and Perth Racing expects the 2015 summer carnival to be the best yet.

Western Australia’s three Group 1 races are iconic on the global racing landscape and an increase in prizemoney sees the Railway Stakes (1600m), Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) and Kingston Town Classic (1800m) all now run for $1 million each.

With only six weight for age races further than 1600 metres in Australia of $1M or more, the Kingston Town Classic joins an elite list of races including the Cox Plate, Mackinnon Stakes, Australian Cup, the BMW and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Further race information will be available in due course, but for your reference we have attached a flyer detailing entry and declaration dates. A charter flight bringing interstate horses to Perth is scheduled to depart Melbourne on the weekend of 14th & 15th November, with specific details to become available in the weeks ahead.

Whether you have the weight-for-age sprinter, top class handicapper who will then relish the weight-for-age conditions of the Kingston Town Classic a fortnight later, or perhaps a nice progressive three-year-old (remember 3yo’s coming out of the WA Guineas have had a wonderful record in the Kingston Town Classic), we feel the 2015 Perth Racing Summer Carnival is strategically planned to accommodate a multitude of racing opportunities for your horse.

On behalf of Perth Racing, we invite and welcome you to compete at one of the world’s most exciting racing carnivals. In the meantime, we look forward to providing any assistance you may require in planning your summer racing campaigns.

 Best wishes,
