Experience a Spring Weekend that’s got it all ! Come and enjoy a weekend of sightseeing and thoroughbred racing with two nights’ accommodation at the gorgeous Riversleigh in Bairnsdale, continental breakfast each morning, plus a late check out all included in the price. On Saturday afternoon head off with Right Track Tours to explore a range of local attractions and then on Sunday join the Committee of the Bairnsdale Racing Club to enjoy an afternoon of thoroughbred racing, gourmet food, beverages and festivities with the running of the 2015 Patties Foods Bairnsdale Cup for the one all inclusive price.

SATURDAY 03 OCTOBER
(EXPLORE THE REGION)
 
  • Check in by 12 noon and freshen up after you journey
  • Right Track Tours will pick guests up at 12:45pm
  • Drive through Nicholson, Johnsonville and Swan Reach to Lakes Entrance – commentary and information provided en route
  • Stop over for lunch at the Lakes Entrance Bowls Club  
  • 1 hour eco boat tour with commentary
  • Visit the Wyanga Park Winery
  • Wine tasting and afternoon te
  • Travel back to Bairnsdale, stopping at Lakes Entrance scenic lookouts
  • Return to the Riversleigh at around 5:30pm
  • Right Track Tours will pick guests up at 6:45pm for 7:30pm dinner with race club officials at the Metung Pub
  • Transport back to the Riversleigh at around 10pm

SUNDAY 04 OCTOBER
(PATTIES FOODS BAIRNSDALE CUP DAY)
  • Guests will be collected from the Riversleigh at 12 noon and transported to the Bairnsdale Racing Club.
  • Spend the afternoon with the Bairnsdale Racing Club Committee and enjoy a day of thoroughbred racing, admission gourmet lunch, beverages and race book all included.
  • Guests will be collected from the race club at 5.30pm and transported back to the Riversleigh.
  • Evening free – take your pick of the many wonderful dining options around Bairnsdale.

MONDAY 05 OCTOBER
  • Late check-out (11:00am)
  • Follow the provided itinerary for a self-drive walking tour of Bairnsdale and surrounds. Or simply take in the area at your own pace.
