3 wELCoME To RosEhILL GARdENs To ensure our patrons have a comfortable and enjoyable day here at Rosehill Gardens, Australian Turf Club provides the following services and facilities: INfORMATION Located at the licketing Office, at the Might And Power Entrance, and also the Guest Relations Office just inside the track past the Railway Turnstile entrance. LOST PROPERTY All enquirtes should be made at the Guest Relations Office. Any articles not claimed within three months may be disposed of at the discretion of the Club. ATM MACHINES ATMs are located in both the public and Members’ areas. CLOAK ROOM Located on Ground Level of the Members Reserve. In the public areas, the cloakroom is located on Ground Level of the J.R. Fleming Stand. fIRST AID Located adjacent to the railway entry at the rear of the Grandstand. DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS Patrons can only smoke at the ‘designated smoking area’ shown on the below map. Also, for the comfort of guests, we ask that patrons please do not move tables from their designated locations within the bar and dining areas. If we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact any member of our friendly stall. When qst re riding in straight, rdr std on straightening it became apparent improving inwards was not an option, so he shifted outwards from the 200m, but was held up until near the 150m & bumped when shifted out. Added leaving the 150m mnt was checked when disappointed for a run & was unable to be fully tested in straight. A post-race vet exam rev colt to be coughing. KENS 01/11/2023 Dynamic One Was held up for clear running rounding the home turn and could not improve until the 300m. WAGG 31/08/2023 Yankee One Laid out under pressure in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed the filly to have speedy cuts to the off-hind fetlock and coronet. GOSF 26/10/2023 Armed Forces From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running from the 400m until the 200m. RAND 28/10/2023 Turbulent Approaching the 200m, when attempting to improve into a narrow run, was disappointed for this run. Std near the 250m when he tried to shift outwards, his mnt was not travelling well enough & it became held up until the 150m. Added near 150m he shifted inwards to obtain clear running whereby mnt ran to line fairly. GOSF 05/10/2023 Our Bambino Raced wide and without cover from the 1300m. Near the 100m was brushed. KENS 01/11/2023 Xtrarevz COT: To be ridden more conservatively; settled back. Rdr stated that having instructions to ride the gelding conservatively, he was required to restrain his mnt for some distance in the early stages from its outside barrier to settle at the rear of the field. He further stated that whilst his mnt travelled satisfactorily, the tempo of the race, which developed into a sprint home, did not suit. He said also that the gelding is better suited by being able to be ridden closer to the speed when able to draw a better barrier. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. 17 EMERGENCy pRoCEdUREs The Australian Turf Club’s aim is to provide the best facilities to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. Should an emergency situation arise, the alarm system will be heard over two stages: (1) Fire Alarm Bell – (RINGING SOUND). This notifies the Fire Brigade; (2) Evacuation Alarm – (WHOOP – WHOOP – WHOOP SOUND). This notifies ALL occupants to leave via the nearest safety exit under the supervision of the Emergency Wardens and proceed to the emergency assembly point. On hearing the alert alarm, patrons are requested to remain calm and prepare to follow instructions from the Emergency Wardens. Cloak room items will be secured for you to collect after the situation is over. Mobility impaired patrons, including hearing and sight impaired patrons, should make contact with an Emergency Warden as they may need a “buddy” to assist in the evacuation in the evacuation. On hearing the evacuation alarm, the Wardens will usher you to the Safe Assembly Area so it is essential that you follow their instructions. Unless you are instructed otherwise, the Safey Assembly Areas are (see opposite page for locations): In the event of an emergency, please remember: (1) Listen carefully to the alarm tones; (2) Follow the directions of the Emergency Wardens; (3) Move quickly and quietly to the designated Safe Assembly Areas. 18 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 19 (1) At a race meeting within the metropolitan area, a bookmaker is obliged to lay the odds displayed if demanded by the backer, except that the bookmaker is not compelled to lose on any one bet more than the amount Racing NSW may determine and publish as the minimum bet list entttled “Betting limits for on-course Bookmakers to comply with BR13”, as published on tts webstte and amended from time to time. (2) When the backer claims the bookmaker for a win and place bet which is greater than the limits prescribed by this rule, the bookmaker must bet the backer the proportional equivalent of an each-way wager. (3) At a race meeting outside the metropolitan area or at an audttorium or betting office, the committee of a club may from time to time determine the minimum wager which bookmakers must be bound to lay when betting on any part of the club’s premises. (4) Once a race has started, a bookmaker is not compelled to accept any bet or, alternatively, is not compelled to bet the minimum limits prescribed in this rule. 20 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option.
